It had taken Jodi almost two hours, but she finally convinced Jackie to go along with her plan. However, it came with conditions. This was a trial run for thirty days. If it goes wrong or if the bar makes less than seven hundred dollars per orgy night after expenses, the plan would be considered a bust and the twins hang their heads in shame as they file for bankruptcy and flee town.
Jodi had discreetly spread the word to whoever would be interested in participating. She had gotten Trina to do the same. Jodi had also asked Jesse and Billy to tell their friends who were close to Arizona to come. Three of Billy’s former employees had arrived yesterday to run security. To make up for their low salary, Jackie agreed to let the bouncers have rooms in the hotel for free. Jackie’s paranoia insisted on putting up large signs that said, ‘21 and Up and No Drugs Allowed’ in every other bar window and on the front door. She also put the signs on the doors leading to and from the hotel lobby.
Jodi had hired two waitresses. She had explained to them what would be going on. They had loved the idea and jumped at the opportunity. They had been at Garvey’s on that first infamous Saturday night and they had a ball. Jodi had made it clear that they had to make sure all the customers were taken care of before they had sex with them. She had also told them that they weren't expected to have sex with anyone – unless they wanted to. If a customer wanted to tip them, that would be fine, but under no circumstances were they allowed to charge for sex.
Jodi was in the kitchen helping Daniel prep food and stock the refrigerator for Friday night’s activities.
“Jodi!” Jackie yelled from the front.
Jodi looked at Daniel’s chubby black face and green eyes, “I’ll be right back.”
Daniel nodded and kept padding out raw beef into hamburger patties.
Jodi quickly walked through the kitchen swinging door. She saw Jackie standing next to a delivery man. Two large brown boxes were sitting on one of the dining tables.
“Oh good, they’ve arrived. I was afraid they wouldn’t get here in time,” Jodi stated cheerfully.
“What is it?” Jackie asked with suspicion.
“Condoms and other party favors,” Jodi answered calmly.
The delivery guy’s eyebrows arched up. Jodi gave him the once over. He was tall and slim. Not muscular, but he had a cute face and he had dark blue eyes. His hair was covered by the brown delivery cap he wore.
Jackie pulled the collar of her shirt over her nose and quickly walked away with embarrassment.
Jodi smiled at the delivery man. “What’s your name?”
“Sam,” he answered calmly.
“I’m Jodi. You live in the area?”
“I live in Phoenix and I’m married.”
“That's great. If you and your wife want to spice up your sex life, come back here tonight around midnight.”
His mouth dropped open for a moment and then he quickly closed it. “I . . . I . . . thank you. What exactly are we talking about here?”
“An orgy. Thirty-five dollars for couples to participate right here in the bar,” she answered casually.
“Is it just for married couples?”
“No, there will be singles, too.”
“I see,” he said as a smile slowly appeared on his lips. “We’ll see.”
“Nothing wrong with thinking about it,” Jodi said with a smirk.

Garvey’s Bar opened at 4 p.m. as usual. It was also empty as usual. The first four customers didn't come in until 7 p.m., and they were senior citizens. They all ordered steaks with baked potatoes.
Jodi and Trina stood behind the bar twiddling their thumbs. The wait staff was hanging out in the kitchen and the bouncers sat at a booth talking.
“Doesn’t look like this is going well,” Trina said with worry in her voice.
“It’s still early. People who really want to party don’t come out until ten,” Jodi explained.
Jackie sat at the bar listening to them. She was perplexed by the whole business plan. Part of her hoped it failed. The other part of her hoped it succeeded – for financial purpose only. “Perhaps your marketing campaign was too aggressive or you didn’t target the right market,” she suggested.
“Sex fits every market,” Jodi countered haughtily.
Another two hours went by with a few customers coming in, ordering food, and then leaving. Some locals came in and ordered their food to go. At 9:47, eight cars pulled into the parking lot.
“Hey, look at this,” Sandy, one of the new waitresses, said.
Jodi, Trina, and Jackie went to one of the windows.
Jackie’s mouth dropped open as she watched sexy dressed women and grinning men get out of their cars and walk to the bar. “What do we do?”
Jodi laughed. “What we always do. Welcome them to Garvey’s and ask them what they want to drink.”
The girls scattered away from the window as the customers got closer to the building. For the next hour, customers poured into Garvey’s Bar. They ordered drinks and food. People put money in the jukebox and danced.
It was 11:45. Jackie noticed that Jodi, Trina, Sandy, and Becky, another new waitress, started walking around to the customers with purple wristbands. Jodi had said that was the best way to make sure the ones who stayed after midnight actually paid to do so. Jackie noticed some people leaving, but the majority of them paid and stayed.
She went to the register to do a final skim. The last thing she wanted was their profits disappearing while the night’s activities commenced. She counted out six hundred dollars and left one-twenty-five dollars in the register just in case they needed change. She approached Jodi. “I did a skim. I left you guys one-twenty-five.”
“Okay. You out?” Jodi asked.
“Yes,” Jackie emphasized. “I am out.” She heard Jodi laugh as she headed for the door to the hotel lobby.
“Hey, pretty momma, you leavin'?” a male voice asked. She turned around to see George, one of their new bouncers. He was bulky, but not necessarily chubby. George was about five-foot-seven and bald with a mustache. The white Garvey Bar T-shirt looked good against his dark skin.
“Yes. Someone has to do the paperwork and relieve the worker at the front desk,” Jackie replied as politely as she could. She just wanted to get out of there before things got inappropriate.
“All work and no play is not good. You’re coming back, aren’t you?”
“Nope. Like I said, someone has to watch the front desk.”
“Well, I’ll see you in the morning then,” George said and opened the door for her.
“Okay, thanks,” Jackie said and walked into the lobby. She quickly went to the front desk.
“Hi, Jackie. Is it midnight already?” Barbara asked. She worked at Garvey’s during the summers. She had left for college last year. She returned to town for summer break, but because of the economy, she couldn't return for a second year. Her parents had lost all their money in the stock market.
“Already? You’ve been busy?” Jackie asked.
“More than usual. I mean it’s not half the hotel, but it has been pretty good for the last hour. I even booked reservations for tomorrow night. Whatever new promotion you and Jodi are doing is working.”
Jackie didn’t know whether to be happy with excitement or cringe out of embarrassment. “How many rooms did you rent tonight?”
“Twenty. And I booked reservations for ten rooms tomorrow,” Barbara said with happiness.
“That is pretty good considering the downswing we’ve been on,” Jackie admitted. “You better go. Your parents will worry about you.” The truth was Jackie wanted to get Barbara off the property before the activities got loud.
Barbara grabbed her blue backpack from under the desk. “Okay, I filled out my time sheet. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Goodbye, Barbara,” Jackie said.
Jodi couldn’t have been more pleased. She locked the admissions money in the safe in the bar office and walked back out to the bar area. She smiled when she saw Trina, Sandy, and Becky do a striptease while doing the Electric Slide.Jodi was afraid people would be too uptight, so she offered two free shots of tequila per table and told the staff to do what they had to do to get people to loosen up. Eight more customers entered the bar and the bouncers took their money and gave them wristbands. She went out on the floor to make sure the customers had everything they needed. Jodi spotted a couple of folks in the booths making out. “Hey, remember me?” a deep male voice said behind her. Jodi turned around to look into the deep blue eyes of Sam, the delivery man from earlier that afternoon. “Hi. Sam, right?” Jodi beamed. His blond hair was neatly combed and parted on the side. “Glad you decided to visit us.” “Would you
Jackie and Jodi were in the office at Garvey’s talking about bills. However, this conversation was not like the ones they’ve had in the past. It was a lot more pleasant this time. “So, in four weeks, after following my plan, we’ve made fourteen thousand dollars minus expenses,” Jodi said with smugness in her voice. “If you’re waiting for me to say you were right, I’m not saying it. We can’t allow this forever, Jodi,” Jackie said stubbornly. “I know, but why not enjoy it for now?” Jodi asked with a big grin. Jackie grunted, “I enjoy paying the bills. With that being said, we have enough to make the next retirement home payment.” “I have to go into Phoenix to meet with our suppliers. I can pay Dad’s bill while I’m out there if you can meet with the pool guys that are coming this afternoon.” “You got them to come in this quickly? I thought it would take a few weeks.”Jodi and Jackie had decided to get th
It was 11:45 Saturday night at Garvey's. Jackie did her usual final skim and was heading for the hotel lobby door when Jodi yelled out to her. Jackie turned around as Jodi approached her. “You're leaving?” “Yeah, why is that a surprise?” “Well . . . after your . . . experience with the pool guys I thought you might want to stick around,” Jodi said coyly as she rotated her shoulders. Jackie’s head leaned back to stare at her sister from a different angle. “What experience? I convinced them to take another form of payment.” Jodi burst out laughing. “Yeah, the other form being you. I’m not dumb and I know those guys.” Jackie’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t worry. They didn’t tell me. Like I said, I know those guys.” The dawn of Jodi’s meaning hit Jackie right in the face. “You set me up. You weren’t stuck in traffic.” Jodi laughed. “Now, don't be mad. You needed to loosen up a
Jackie had only gotten a few hours sleep. She couldn’t do anything for Jodi and the rest until morning. Since it was Sunday, she called her lawyer, Lester Jenkins at home. He was more than willing to meet her at his law office since it was an emergency. Barbara had gone to the jail to let Jodi and the rest know that Jackie was trying to find them an attorney. Jackie sat across from Lester Jenkins as she explained everything from the beginning and what had happened last night. Lester had been her parents’ attorney and now her and Jodi’s. He’s known the twins since they were babies, so coming clean about their morally questionable enterprise was hard for her, but she needed help. Plus, he was the only defense attorney in town. There had been two others, but they closed their offices a few months after the crash. If she couldn't get Lester's help, she would have to drive into Phoenix. After she finished explaining the problem, Lester just looked at her
Jackie wanted to consult with Jesse, the motorcycle moonshiner, to get his input on their predicament. Jodi tagged along to his house on the edge of town. They walked around the back of his one-story home to find him tuning up his Harley. Jodi yelled out to him. “Hey, Jesse.” Jesse looked up. “Hey, girls. What brings you over?” They sat down at an old picnic table. Jackie and Jodi told Jesse what happened Saturday night and about Marty Schaffer. “I heard y’all got busted. Tough break. At least half the town thinks so. The other half, well, you know how judgmental people can be.” “Yeah, we know,” Jodi stated. “At least you have the business owners in town on your side. Some don’t approve, but all of them have admitted, to me anyway, that the guests' traffic has spilled over into their businesses. They’re happy about the increase in cash.” “I see,” Jackie said. “Sorry about you g
After a lengthy debate, Jackie and Jodi had decided to go to Lester's office. Under lawyer-client privilege, they told Lester everything they had learned. “I’ve been a lawyer for over forty years and I . . . damn I don’t know what to say. You think you know people,” he choked out. “We need the DA on our side. If we can get him to agree to let all of us operate without harassment, we’ll be home free,” Jodi said. “Sometimes it’s best to deal with the devil you know,” Lester said. “What do you mean?” Jackie asked. “Let’s say you girls can get rid of Marty once and for all. Who is going to take his place? It could be someone that has no tolerance for borderline prostitution, drug dealing, and running moonshine.” “He’s right,” Jackie said. “Hell, we know a couple of the guys at the station. At one time, they were cool dudes,” Jodi stated. “There has to be one person at the station that can take
Barbara entered the kitchen at Garvey’s. Daniel was cutting tomatoes. She jumped up on the steel table he was working on and blew out a long sigh. “What’s wrong, Barb?” Daniel asked. “I’m tired of being treated like a baby. I’m nineteen. Been away from home for a year and would have stayed away, if the recession hadn’t fucked me,” she complained. Daniel smiled. “What did your parents do to make you mad?” “They want me to quit. They found out about the weekend orgies because of the bust Saturday. I told them that I don't participate and even if I did, I'm an adult now. I can make my own choices. They went on about how I’m still young and impressionable and sex kills. Bottom line, my dad said if I was grown enough to work here, I'm grown enough to move out. So, I packed my bags and left. I'm hoping that Jackie and Jodi will let me stay here for a while.” “Wow, sounds like you both put your foot down.” “Y
It was dusk when Jackie and Marty walked to their private villa at The Coco Resort in Phoenix. George and Jesse tailed them. Jackie kept Marty distracted with conversation on the way to Phoenix so he wouldn’t notice George and Jesse following them. The original plan had been for Jesse to follow them. His job was to have Jackie’s back just in case something went wrong and to give her a ride back home. George had insisted on coming along to help look out for Jackie. She smiled as she thought about how protective George was. He had made it clear that he wanted more than just sex from her.Marty glanced over at her and put his pudgy arm around her shoulders. “Beautiful sunset, isn’t it?”His question snapped her back to the present. “Yes. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see it from our villa. It was so nice of you to bring me here. This place is absolutely gorgeous.”“Nothing but the best for you, Jackie. Ah, this is it,” Marty said and stopped at the villa.Jackie made a mental note of the n
