Matt was surprised by the woman who sat down on his lap who loudly said, “How you doing, sweetheart.”

He looked up at the woman to politely get her off of him. He almost had a heart attack when he saw the cool dark eyes of Jackie Garvey staring him right in the face.

“A lot of people have gone through a lot of trouble to help you get where you are today. We’ve all gone through great pangs to keep your reputation clean. How could you come here tonight?” Jackie asked with heat.
