Coming back to the house, I went up to my room without paying a lot of attention to any one even when I noticed that Margaret and the rest had questions in their eyes. I ignored all the taunting looks, all the scared looks and was still in my own little world where I could afford to hope for a better day. I could live my life now in peace and not be scared that a supposed mistress with the help of my husband would want to kill me. I could live now and enjoy the life in which I was forced to live.
