"I apologize, I shouldn't have... I should have asked more questions, I should have made you more happy but I didn't, forgive me." As he said this, he moved closer to her.

Anna didn't say anything but instead continued crying.

"Anna please, can you just look at me? I misunderstood you, it's my fault okay?" Ace continued.

Anna stopped crying and turned to look at him.

"Will you bring them back? Those guards," she implored.

"Yes, I will do that today, I'll get them back to their job," Ace said.

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise," Ace promised.

He sat down beside her but Anna moved to give him space. Anna moved again but he moved closer to her.

"Why? Why do you keep doing this? Why do you keep confusing me?" She half yelled.

"I won't beat around the bush, I need you to be on my side, Anna," Ace informed.

"You should have said that from the beginning instead of doing this- trying to confuse me that..." She paused and heaved heavily.
