Helen’s POV

"The camelia-scented candles are my bestsellers," Jasmine, a friend and the owner of the candle shop that I was currently in boasted. "They sell out immediately I restock them. They are simply wonderful."

"Yeah," I acquiesced. "My son loves it. On nights when he's too tired but doesn't want to sleep, I just light one of the candles and he falls asleep almost instantly. They are really good."

Earlier today, Fernando told me that his secretary at the headquarters resigned some days ago, and without thinking, I told him that I wanted to replace her.

He had just darted me a look before shaking his head, clearly not taking me serious before heading back to his office.

I had decided that I would tell him that I was being serious when I got home later.

"That reminds me, it's been a while since I last saw Lucy. Has she left the country?" Jasmine asked, as she wrapped my order, which consisted of two camelia and five dahlia scented candlesticks.
