While we were talking about the next step, the doors swung open, revealing a disheveled and bewildered Daniel.

He took one look at crying Emma, and his expression changed from confused to horrified. He slowly took in the scene unfolding in front of him, and myriads of expressions came on his face, from confusion to rage to shock. Each one is better than the last.

“What is going on over here?” he asked in bewilderment.

“This is what we should be asking you?” Daisy confronted him.

“Excuse me? You are standing in my house and under my roof, and you are questioning me?” Daniel roared, forgetting for a minute that there were many senior officials present there.

“It’s good that you know and accept the fact that it’s your roof and your house. So let me rephrase my question. Were you aware what Lizzie and Emma were doing in YOUR house?” Daisy taunted him, mockery clear in his voice.

“What?” Daniel was confused but his voice wavered a little as if he was not completely unaware about it.
