Chapter 53 – A date for the wedding.

Sandra had spent money bribing a few people when she arrived here with the hope that Maeve would pay for it by purchasing the dress but if Dylan agrees to pay, Sandra could kiss her money goodbye, knowing that Dylan did not have it to give her.

Maeve never asked Dylan for anything since they began dating. It has always been the other way round so this was unexpected and the money Dylan had was already budgeted for compensation, whereas it was not even enough.

The nervous clearing of the throat was heard from the end of the line before Dylan’s smiley voice was heard. It was evident that he was pretending.

“Ehmm…sure, sure, anything for you, sweetheart. Can I talk to Sandra?”

Maeve smiled, “Sure you can. The phone is on speaker.

“Sandra,” Dylan called out and she frowned in annoyance before responding,

“Dylan.”

“You can leave the dress with Maeve. I will transfer the money into your account,” Dylan said confidently like it was nothing but his heart ached for it.
