The news was like icing on the cake due to how things had improved.

Gabriel was close to nailing Dylan and Sandra, but Vincent’s testimony would extend their prison terms.

"Are you sure? Since when?" Gabriel asked, amazed by the news but cautious not to be too excited and get disappointed.

"A few minutes ago, sir," his informant said seriously. Gabriel's expression brightened, and Maeve wondered what was making him so happy.

She had always seen him happy since their marriage, but this was suspicious, and she could not wait for him to end the call so she could ask what was making him so excited.

"Alright, keep an eye on him until he fully recovers. We will be needing him soon. If he needs anything, just let me know," Gabriel hid his excitement and spoke.

"Yes, sir," the man on the other side of the phone answered before Gabriel ended the call and lowered the phone.

"Gab, what's going on?" Maeve asked curiously. Gabriel smiled and said, "Vincent is awake."
