Sonnet lowered her gaze and smiled. “Actually, I borrowed 58 thousand dollars from Lindy.”

“Did you think that I’d lose my mind just because I’m disabled? Lindy has just been working for a few years. Could she earn 58 thousand dollars? If she’s that wealthy, she would’ve paid the deposit for an apartment in Harbor City a long time ago.”

Sonnet’s smile stiffened. “Of course, I didn’t borrow the money from her alone. There’s Lucas as well.”

Lucas, Sonnet, and Lindy were all from the same village. They were best friends.
