96. The Insolent

Trisha was obviously intimidated, and the lady, Denny's sister, became even more menacing. Denny felt the offense in Trisha's expression, so he did not wait for her to get to his side. He walked over to comfort her in his embrace and whispered.

"She's my evil sister. Don't mind her. I got you."

Trisha took a deep breath, and what he said indeed comforted her somehow.

"Thank you," she whispered back.

Denisse Vero was very annoyed at their whisperings. The two were by the bottom of the stairs, with Denny openly overprotecting this young witch. It was unmistakable to see that Denny was years older than the girl. And for Denisse, based on experience from her cheater of a husband, Leo Rossi, this one is another flirtatious courtesan.
