Chapter 37

A few days ago...

Jane couldn't sit still as she waited to see Rodrigo's parked car leave from in front of the mansion. She paced back and forth in her room. After a few moments, she finally decided to leave the room and check if her husband had already left. She stopped when she reached the front of his room. Jane pressed her ear against the door, trying to listen for any sign of her husband. When she heard nothing, she entered the room and searched for him. The young man was nowhere to be found.

Jane smiled. She hurriedly went out again and descended the stairs. Since she didn't see Rodrigo's car anymore, she started looking for Clarixto, Rodrigo's uncle. She found him in Rodrigo's study room.

"Sir Navarro," Jane called out to the old man.

Clarixto paused from packing his things and looked at Jane. "Oh, Jane. Do you need something?"
