Jade didn’t want to deal with anything else, she wasn’t sure about this whole deal. She was the Queen and that was as far as she wanted to go. She wasn’t sure about taking on the new role they were trying to convince her she was. She was already afraid to fail, and now she had a bigger role to fill.
“Jade I know there is a lot you are afraid of, but I will help you any way I can,” Juka said.
“I don’t know if there is anything you can help me with,” Jade said shaking her head. “I don’t know if I am the right person for this. Cant, you send me back to the Spell-Blade realm so I can talk to Gage about this?”
“No,” he said shaking his head. “He will just lie to you, you need to understand he doesn’t want you
“Jade I don’t know why you cannot just accept that you have to do this,” Juka said following her. “Because Juka I don’t have to,” Jade said without facing him. “I don’t even know you, and you come to my realm take my mother, you bring me here and take my powers away, and then you expect me just to allow you to bully me into believing you.” She said turning to face him. “I am not doing what you say unless you start to trust me and give me my powers and allow me to leave freely.” “You are just going to go back to that realm and tell Gage and his minions what happened here, they are going to figure out a way to come here and hurt my people, the very people that I promised to keep safe.”&n
Jade wasn’t sure if Gage was holding onto something, she wanted to wait for him to say something, but he didn’t. “Are you going to tell me what he is talking about?” she snapped. “I don’t have any idea what he is talking about Jade, all I know is you are supposed to rule here, whatever he knows is beyond what I know.” He said looking at her and then Michael. “Do you know anything else, Michael?” “Nope.” He said taking in some air. “But I will ask around and see if I can find anything out about it, and see if we’ve missed anything.” He half-smiled at Jade. “Sorry Queen but I think Juka is trying to get you to believe some
Jade walked around watching everyone do their own thing, she wished she could be carefree and do what she wanted. She wished things were different but she knew she was different. She had to be careful, she knew her mom was still in danger, she was selfish for leaving her behind but knew she wouldn’t have come. “Hey there.” Someone said. Jade turned to the voice, she frowned the man was dirty and weird-looking. “Yeah what do you want?” “You’re new around these parts?” “You could say that?” Jade said looking around. “I’m only here for the night.” “You’ve been here for a few days, well h
Jade didn’t say anything, she watched as they walked, she felt watched she figured it was probably the other wolves in the pack. They kept quiet, but they watched. She wanted them to attack so she could show them her power. She knew she had to be a better person than them because she had to reunite everyone and become the leader, but she didn’t want that power. Closing her eyes she had to calm her nerves they were getting closer to the big gate she’d seen a while back. “When we get to the gate no one speaks,” Darius said looking over his shoulder. “My pack is very protective, sadly everyone here is hated.” He said looking at Jade. “If she was the only one with me, this would have been easier.”&n
“If you will follow me,” Darius said motioning for the group to follow him. “Once you are settled, I will come back and get you for dinner. You will eat with the pack. Well, the non-blood suckers anyways.” He said looking at Jayden. “I’m not eating with the mutts,” Gage growled. “Neither is Jade.” “Queen Jade is welcomed to come, you are not allowed to make her decisions for her. It would be customary for her to attend the dinner to help with what she wants to do.” He said looking at her. “Please come to dinner tonight, if you want to gain ground and uniting the realms, this will help.” He said slightly bowing. Jade looked at Gage, he shook his h
Jade looked around the house, it was empty at least until they got to the kitchen, it was massive, there were loads of people. Jade held her breath when everyone stopped talking and looked at her, she wasn’t sure if she should say anything. “Everyone I would like to introduce you to Queen Jade,” Darius spoke loud and clear. “She is the one the prophecy spoke about to end our suffering, she is here to help Maria and get things going, please be kind she isn’t a threat.” He said glancing at Jade. “She is nervous, because of the stories she’s been told of our kind, let’s show her our kindness.” Everyone stood up and bowed to her, “yes Alpha.” They said in unison, allowing her to walk with Darius and find a spot near him.
Jade wasn’t sure about taking wolves with her on her journey, but it might be a good idea to have more protection with her even with the power she had. “Okay we can take some of your wolves with us, it will show the other realms there is already a merge happening, we might get less resistance.” She half-smiled. “See you are already acting as a good leader, you will get us together as one.” He said eating more of his food. “I don’t want to let you go unless you can do a quick course on cooking, we’re going to suffer from bad food here.” “I don’t think I could teach anyone to cook overnight.” Jade joked.&
Jade could feel him getting worse, she knew she could protect herself, she didn’t want to hurt him, but she would if it came down to it. “Please go and do your training Darius.” She said getting up from the table. “Come and find me when you are done.” She left without waiting for a response from him, Rachel followed. “That man is scary when he is angry,” Rachel whispered. “That’s an Alpha werewolf mom,” Jade said glancing at her. “And you want to leave me here with him?” she said grabbing onto Jade’s arm to stop her. “Please I rather go with you.” “I don’t want to take a chance and get you killed because then I will die too.” She s
