Bk 3, Ch 8: Kimia
We had returned back to the apartment before Nate and Jimmy. While Kam and Rose went to bed, I stayed up and worried. They came back while I was in the middle of a movie, and half awake on the couch.
“I thought you guys went to a party,” Jimmy said when he and Nate came in. Nate came over, and lifted me up so my head could rest on his lap.
“We went to the party, I hustled my cousin, and found out that GLE is biased against non-shifters,” I mumbled without taking my eyes off of the television.
“Damn,” Jimmy said. “All that happened before we even got home.”
