Ch 30: Rose

Kamron and I waited for a while for Kimia to come back, but she was gone longer than expected. Kamron looked like he had fallen asleep on my lap, and my eyes began to droop as well. Eventually, I nudged him, and woke him up. “We should go inside.” He got up and went to the door.

I let us in, and followed him up the stairs. His door was open, and I followed him in. I didn’t want to wait for Kimia alone. He must have noticed because he didn’t change his shape, just jumped onto his bed and gave me a look that was very inviting. I smiled at him, and laid down next to him. I tried to stay awake, I really did, but my eyes closed and my arm was curled around Kamron’s furry body.

I woke up to the feel of fur next to me, and Kamron’s distinct smell was surrounding me. I didn’t open my eyes though. I r
