In the past few months since I met Aella, I have died thrice.

First, when shots were suddenly fired in that cabin.

second when she had left me.

And today, when I saw her on that ground, motionless.

It all started as a normal day for me. I was bone tired but still had to go over to the club to settle some pending issues. Stupid Jake stood head-to-head with me when I confronted him about spilling my business to Ryker. I fired him, but he insisted I had no right to.

I kept my anger in check immediately, it wasn't the first time I fired him anyway, I would never be free of him, and I knew he would lay down his life for me.

He was still Fuming when Aella came into the room, I ignored him. Who would miss an opportunity to admire someone as breathtaking as Aella? Ryker had advised that I let her go back to school, he insisted I was rushing Aella too much and would push her away before she even decided to open her heart to let me in
