Chapter: 34.******Conri and his six Betas arrived at Blood Coven. It was a sprawling town with a large river that split into two branches near the northern outskirts of it before flowing through the heartland to the southern coast. The river, known as the Blood River, had been present since before even the god Irtia came down to earth in the witch's history as it flowed over huge rocks at the edge of the forested cliffs. The riverside caves were said to be haunted by old spirits and demons, but Conri thought it might just be the wind whistling between the rocks. In any case, the town wasn't a problem. Blood Coven didn't take itself too seriously, preferring to live life in an easygoing manner instead of attempting to conquer or dominate everything around them. Chapter: 35.******Frowning, Caleb pushed away from the hug. "What happened?" He asked, looking around the room. Conri pulled him back and wrapped his arms around him once again, kissing his hair softly. "Don't pull away from me," He said, pressing him tighter and chuckled when Caleb grunted. Conri pulled back this time, smiling brightly at his mate. "Are you hungry?... I made you lunch, let us go down to eat and we can talk after." He said, getting out of bed but Caleb held him back. "No, Please, talk to me," He said pleadingly. Conri hesitated, but after an internal debate decided to comply. "Why did you do it?" He asked gently. Caleb looked confused for a moment but shook his head, answering simply: "I love you... You're my Alpha." Conri frowned, "I know, but doing this would kill you," He said softly. Chapter: 37.*****Leon tossed his phone halfway across the room and it nearly hit the walls had Hawk not caught it in time. He roared in frustration and dropped into his bed, eyes clouded with unshed tears. His heart constricted painfully in his chest as he curled into himself, his head hazy with memories from the past. How old were they then? Fifteen? Sixteen? It was the coming of age for Alphas all over the world. A ceremony held for Alphas to bring their successors into the Circle. It was held deep into the hearts of the Mountain of Sakia. The Circle was an ancient structure that only Alphas could enter, only Alphas could use the magic within. And when an Alpha successor is of age, they are brought into the Circle to receive their Alpha Markings. It was at this time Leon first met the Lycan. Chapter: 38.******Conri held still the best he could. A decision has to be made. Reece pulled into the Gates of River Bay, and suddenly the wind stilled and time seemed to have slowed as they drove into his Manor. Conri held his breath, his eyes stung, and his heart ached far worse than any physical wound ever could. Reece packed the vehicle and slowly they all began to get out of the car, all six Betas. Conri slumped backward and closed his eyes. He could hardly breathe, hardly feel anything... He felt numb. The Betas stood in wait, the car doors all opened. Rafa pushed his Half in and emerged. He could see Conri could not handle this, not that it was any easier on him but time isn't exactly working in their favor. Rafa began to exit the vehicle... slowly. He stood by the car and let his eyes wander to the Left Wing of the Manor. The air was stale, and the birds wouldn't sing from the gardens. A cold chill ran down Rafa's spine, and the hairs began to rise at the back of his neck.

Chapter: 39.******Kael stood at the Gates of the Manor, overlooking the vast expanse of land stretching as far as he could see, beautiful gardens and fields with rolling green hills in the distance, all perfectly landscaped and cultivated to perfection. A small river winds its way through the valley to disappear into a hidden pool. A few large ponds are scattered amongst the land. A magnificent view that should have been breathtaking but all Kael saw was an endless stretch of dull grey. The only colors were the white stone buildings and the green grass. Today was not a day for the beautiful scenery. Today is the day he introduces father and son. His eyes wandered to the little figure clenching onto his pinky, standing side by side with him and staring ahead into the Gates. A small smile stretched across his lips as he watched his son. Chapter: 40.******Leonardo spotted six Betas charging toward him and he shifted, watching intently as they drew nearer, and upon closer inspection, he recognized them, then immediately shifted back and stood on guard as they approached him slowly, deliberately, without aggression at all. He didn't know why they were here and how they knew where this was, and what they wanted, but he was certain that it wasn't anything good.
