Contrary to the ambience of the bright and cheerful summer evening, the secretarial office of the Chadwick’s firm emits a slightly gloomy aura. It came from none other than Nathan Michaelis himself, whereas, people could see his sorrow filling the office, and it came from him alone.
“Mister Michaelis?” Abigail the assistant secretary for Mister Gary inched closer to the gloomy Nathan.
“Yes?” Nathan dithered, obviously sucking the sorrow he was feeling in his heart.
“Uhm…” Abigail became uncertain. Hesitating, she fumbled the edge of the work file she’s holding.
“So, how is Miss Nikita?”
The assistant secretary saw his eyes glinting again with sorrow, yet Nathan didn’t cry, he just bit his lips.
“I…She still didn’t wake up, not yet. But, the doctor said that she’s stable.”

(Asher’s POV)I pulled a nail out from the belt, the glisten on it’s shiny silvery surface tinged with the color red. Then, I set my aim anterioproximally to the ground so it hit directly to one of the larger pulsing roots.My first attempt was great. The first root that my nail hit was the middle root; the largest among all the other roots. Upon contact, dark purplish liquid sprayed out and the tree monsters cried in an ear ripping sound.
