CH15: Nightmares (Damien)
After looking into Abby’s eyes and thinking much about it, I decided anything I showed her she would think a simple magic trick, I had to show her what I had done last night. No stage magician is able to enter one’s dreams and manipulate them, but a demon most certainly can. I would have to manipulate her dreams.
I knew she was curious about Bradley, so I gave her the ability to see him but leave as she wished. I was present in the dream as well, acting as the snake that shocked her back awake. I didn’t want her to spend too much time in Hell just yet, even if it were only a projection of it, she would need to get used to the idea before spending lots of time there.

Abby had the best reaction I could have hoped for when she finally accepted the fact that I was a demon and I was proud of her for it. I got away from him as fast as possible. I couldn’t believe someone would actually say that they wanted you to go to Hell and mean it in a romantic fashion!I ran up and into my room to lay down, completely ignoring any chance of running into my mom. I had left for my walk before lunch, and my stomach reminded me that it was past dinnertime when I got home. I took a quick glance out my window and saw Damien just starting to leave, I still couldn’t believe him.Not only was he a demon, but he wanted to take me back to Hell with him and live with him there! I was too caught up with all my thoughts that I hadn’t heard my mom knock on my door, “Abby, hon, you okay?”

Day six came and I woke up early and showered for the first time this whole last week before heading out. It was raining still and my mom let me use the car so that I didn’t have to walk, I told her that I was going to the lake for some air. I still had the instructions to Damien’s house in my head and I reached his house in less than ten minutes, getting lucky with only green lights.I knocked but no one came to the door. I saw her mother’s car there and knew I would have to sneak in unnoticed, it would have to be through a window, and directly into her room. There was a large tree in the neighbor’s yard that was just high enough for me to climb to be able to reach Abby’s room and chose that as my best option.She wasn’t in her room when I peeked in, so I made the glass disappear from the window so that I could get in without any noise, then put it back as soon as I was inside.
