CHAPTER 25

DOMINIC'S POV

I had not gone home straight from the hotel as I decided to get little medical attention. Although Emilio's doctor had seen to my getting treated, I could not help but want for a bed rest and perhaps hoping I might find a little peace with the hospital scenario. I had gone to my friend who was in the administrator's office and he welcomed me with a smile that quickly faded off when he saw how bunged up I looked.

"What happened to you, man?" He asked me.

"Whatever you see, I sort of deserved it." I said to him,

"What do you mean by that? Did you do something wrong?" He asked me and sincerely I was ashamed of myself.

I had successfully ruined the marriage of the woman I loved out of my greed and for certain, I was sure she would not think about calling me ever again. I had my chance to play it cool and perhaps she might warm up to me but I let my desires and infatuations get into my head.
