chapter 37I nibbled on the pancakes so generously gifted to me as I worked my ass out in the Alpha’s closet. He was a considerably neat person so why did this look like two toddlers with sugar rushed had played in here today? Was he purposely trying to burn me out? Chapter 38Alpha Jason snapped his fingers, “You’re right.” He said in sort of light bulb turning on moment even though I couldn’t think of what he could possibly be validating, “If I want to keep you busy, it shouldn’t be with such tasks. Chapter 39After the lunch I hat to take our plates back to the kitchen. The food was delicious and when my stubborness wore out, I allowed myself to enjoy it to the fullest. I just wish I would be able to boast of such cooking skills one day. Chapter 40We walked in a silence that soon bored me, but not Alpha Jason, it seemed because his forehead was wrinkled and his lips were in a tiny, nearly noticeable pout that I doubt he even knew he was making. Chapter 41AmberI woke up slowly, my senses waking before my body. I felt the soft sheets around me and hummed; it felt like I was sleeping on clouds. Chapter 42When I woke up, I was feeling refreshed and much better than before. The headache had tamped down considerably and it no longer felt like I was in an igloo. Alpha Jason was not in the room and I decided that he had left to carry out his duties of the day. For someone who had a nonexistent appetite, my appetite right in that moment was baffling to say the least and I told myself it was only because the food was good. Chapter 44Hannah walked behind me as I walked behind Erica’s maid. She obviously did not know what I was about to walk into and I didn’t even have the strength to tell her her.
