CHAPTER TWENTY THREE.

The sounds of the birds chirping happily in her garden made her open her eyes and she breathed in a breath of fresh air and her lips curved up in a smile. It was a Sunday morning after all and she could just spend the whole day reading her favorite novel.

Tugging at her hair lightly, Ava made her way down from her bed and walked outside. A hot cup of coffee would do the job of making her feel refreshed, and moreover she had to visit the crematorium today, it was her mother's death anniversary after all.

Using her hand to tousle her hair she quickly jogged down the stairs with her shorts and shirt when she saw a certain someone just seated on the sofa and he seemed to be immersed in what he was doing but as soon as he heard her footsteps, he closed the book and turned to face her.
