UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL

The ice-cold glass touched my lips, pressing against my skin as Ezekiel kept poking me to take a sip from it, his face very kin to his decision.

“It would be unfair that I would be the only one to drink while you wallow in your own sorrow. I’m not that heartless.” He voiced, not too far from my ears.

With a sense of panic in my eyes, I somehow managed to stay composed and forced a small smile that reached the depths of my eyes.

Gently, I pushed the glass away, knowing that he was adamant about me drinking it. “I can’t drink alcohol because I’m on medication and also injured.” Lightly I moved to touch my head that had a little mark, but my hair was doing a good work in hiding it.

Twisting his face in pure amusement, he was quick to agree, as if my words were finally melting his stoned-heart.

“My bad, I almost forgot about that, but I’m sure a little won’t hurt.” He drew me closer, but seeing that I was unwilling to drink, he then added. “Fine, but I will have to kiss
