AMELIA’s POV…..

“And the orb? What…..” I tried to get off the bed, but before I could, I almost fell and if not for Alaric and his timely intervention, I would have fallen immediately.

“Be careful.” He said as he held on to me and I shook my head.

“Please, take me to Alex.” I said and although I could see a tiny bit of hurt in his eyes, I assumed it was because he was worried about me.

“Amy, you just regained consciousness. Please, rest a little more.” Lilly tried to tell me, but then, those words kept ringing in my head.

“Until you listen to the one who wants to speak to you, you won’t be free.” The word “free” stuck to my head.
