CHAPTER 33~DENYING THE TRUTH

I knew the moment he left his usual spot, even though I couldn’t see much now that I was further inside the cave. It was hard to miss him keeping guard out there for the past four days that I’ve been here.

He probably thought he was good at hiding behind the trees, but there was no way anyone could miss the sheer intimidating size of his wolf, and even if by luck that was possible, the colour of his wolf was impossible to miss.

When he offered to let me ride him five days ago so I could bring him here, I wasn’t sure what surprised me more when we got into the woods, and he shifted into his wolf form. First, the size of his wolf had been a scare, and I would’ve probably bolted and run for my life if I hadn’t reminded myself every ten seconds that he was the one helping me to find my son. And then I registered the colour of his wolf; it was the same colour as his eyes when he had gotten angry and gone all Alpha on me in his living room.
