VERA'S POV

I took Tim to Father Christmas when we were called out of the cue. He was excited to sit down on the man's lap to receive gifts from him.

I smiled at him when he ran back to me with the packages. I unveiled the gifts for him and received knockouts as an applause for coming.

I held his hand tightly and led him back to where we left his parents, but we didn't see any of them around. I became unhappy and jealous.

Jack could still love Monica. He is ill, she can seduce him like the first day I met her and they could be making out somewhere in a special way and probably plan a reunion while… Jesus Christ! Vera, come back home! I stopped my thoughts from going to an extreme.

"Mom, can we go to the playground?" Tim asked, pointing at some group of children running around a shed.
