Chapter 37: No One Is Obeying

Alex stared out his window his heart beating rapidly. Frustration fisted his hands and he tried to loosen them when they hurt.

A few weeks ago, his life had been in order. He had his house, his daughter, and his company. Everything was in order. One night with a beautiful young woman seemed to change all that.

Before today he would have said that was a good thing. Today he wasn't so sure.

That was why he jumped a little when Madge entered his office. He didn't know what else could go wrong. They were weeks out from the game launch and everything was on track.
