Marrying my stunning Grace

My father was preening me as I was trying to head out to Lucifer's back patio. I playfully slapped his hand away and told him enough. He looked sheepishly at me and grinned.

"I'm excited for you kid," he said, getting choked up. I hugged him tightly and told him I loved him. I felt a tear fall on my cheek. It wasn't mine it was his and I looked up and sighed.

"Stop it dad," I mumbled and he grinned brightly as he wiped his eyes. I looked up and saw the guests. Thankfully there weren't many. I took a chance and glanced over at Grace's angel father and cringed slightly at the disappointment I could clearly see written on his features. I smiled and waved my fingers his way and his huge wings tensed as he crossed his arms and turned away. I felt pleased about it for some strange reason. I continued my way to Lucifer.
