I woke up listening the cries of baby from the baby monitor, I walked up to Niles’ room and saw that he has woken up, “Shoo, shoo. Calm down champion, here here daddy will get you out of the crib.” I said softly as I pick him up. I brought him go out, “Let’s go see mommy, shall we?” I said as I waked to Emily’s room.

I opened the door slowly, to see Emily still asleep, “Woah, mommy’s still asleep. I guess we shouldn’t disturb her.” I said. I held Niles in my arm as we stroll around the backyard.

I look at the little creature in my hand, Why did I was so dumb to not realize what I actually have in front of me. “You should grow up  and be a better man than daddy. Daddy will do everything in my power to support you.” I said to my son. Tears again have their ways in my eyes. I quickly wiped it away. “You don’t even deserve to cry. The guilt should have eating you alive.” I mu
