Chapter 31

Will I ever be able to read him as he does with me?

I sighed deeply at that thought. My hand was still under the running sink faucet. I averted my eyes away from his retiring back and looked at the mark on my hand.

The slow pressure of the water was soothing the stinging pain on my hand. The hard bark of the tree was successful in cutting the pale skin off the back of my hand and drawing little blood out of it. I moved my fingers tracing a line lightly on the scratch on the back of my hand. It stings a little as I move my finger on a dark red mark. But it didn't sting a bit when he touched the scratch with his rough fingers instead I felt a tingling over my bruised skin.

Nina, stop thinking about him.
