Chapter 14

After washing her hands, she dried them in the dryer and left the restroom.

"Humph!"

Just before she could take a step from the closed door, her back collided with the wall beside the door, with her two hands pinned to the wall above her head.

The familiar mint scent filled her nostrils before she even looked up. And then... She felt it. She felt the bone-weakning tingles from her wrist which was pinned above her, down to her toes, her knees threatening to melt like butter.

She felt her pulse accelerate, but she pretended like she didn't feel anything and made it look like was because she had just been ambushed by a stranger.

She deliberately acted like she was scared; she would rather he saw her as being startled by him than being affected by him.

She would rather burn herself to ash than admit to those feelings. She wondered why the moon goddess chose to do this, was her life a sort of game to her?

"Who are you?" His voice was menacing.

Alpha Lake was stumped, not in his wildest
