Natalie woke up when she felt the bus coming to a stop. Her head was resting on his shoulder. She looked up and saw Adrian leaning his head back on the headrest. His eyes closed but she could tell he was not sleeping.

He was holding her hand, their intertwined hands perched in his lap. She didn’t move her head and rather leaned closer letting out a content sigh closing her eyes again. Adrian opened his eyes slowly and moved his other hand to tuck the loose strands of hair behind her ear.

He looked outside the window and saw they had stopped for the students to get refreshments and snacks. He looked down at Natalie.

"Do you want something?"

"No, I'm good."

Natalie looked up at him still resting her head on his shoulder, he nodded but his heart was thumping as she looked up at him with those honey-colored eyes shining brightly at him in the sun. He was sure she could hear it too. He couldn't help but want to touch her
