Chapter 3

*Suhani Pov*

One week already had passed and I didn’t saw him again. Didn’t I already tell you that there is only point one percent chance?

At present I just came outside of my college and started going towards the metro station. I just hope that I didn’t miss the train already.

“Ms.Knife?” I heard someone calling me from far away.

I thought that it is just my imagination and continued to walk.

Again I heard it and understood that it is not my imagination. And there is only one person who calls me that.

I turned around frowning and saw him standing infront of me.

“Oh Eww..!” I said when he reached near me.

“Don’t call me that Ms.Knife!” he said looking at me.

“Then don’t call me that too.” I said.

“Tell me your name then.” He said.

I shook my head and asked “What are you doing here?”

“I think this is not your house so I can actually stand here.” He said showing the road around us.

“You are right!” I said turning around and started going away from him.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“What do you want?” I asked him ignoring his question.

“Nothing! Good bye.” He replied narrowing his eyes but didn’t move from his place.

“Good bye.” I said and glanced at my watch to see I have already missed my train.

I looked up to see him still standing there.

“You are up to no good! Do you know that?” I asked glaring at him.

“What?” he asked confused.

“Because of you I just missed my train. Now I have to walk. And it is just because of you.” I replied.

“I will drop you.” he offered.

“No need for that. I will just go.” I said.

“I need to meet Mr.Prakash. So come on I will drop you. We both are going to the same destination.” He said and it seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

So I nodded and he went near the car which he parked just behind him.

When I got inside I closed the door little harder than usual.

“Be careful with it.” he warned looking at it.

“Oh I know you can’t bear if something happens to your baby right.” I said giving expression like I am truly sorry.

He glared at me but started driving the car. We both sat calmly and didn’t want to say anything to each other.

Then my phone vibrated and I opened it to see my Aunt calling me.

“Hello Aunty!” I said praying that she will not lash out.

“Where are you?” she asked me with a serious tone.

“I missed the train Aunty.” I replied.

“Why do you miss the train weekly twice? And you actually expect me to believe It.” she shouted from the other end.

“I can’t do anything if you can’t believe it Aunty.” I said hanging up.

I rubbed my forehead leaning on the window.

“This is just because of you.” I said looking at him.

“What? I will accept the blame about you missing the train. But how am I responsible for that phone call.” He said and game me a look like I am crazy.

“If I hadn’t missed the train then I would have not got this call. See you are indirectly responsible for this.” I said explaining to him.

Then suddenly it started raining, that to particularly a heavy one.

“Please don’t tell me that I am responsible for this too.” He said looking at the rain.

“Who said you aren’t?” I asked him.

He looked at me in shock and I couldn’t help but stated laughing at him.

“Your face! It is so funny.” I said between my laugh.

He didn’t replied but just shook his head.

“You didn’t tell me what you were doing on the road before?” I asked him again.

“Like I said…” he started saying but I just glared at him.

He nodded and said “I saw you walking there so I just thought to show you my face.”

“Why?” I asked him totally confused.

“I don’t know! Maybe I was just missing your lashing.” He said shrugging.

And that’s how for the second time that day I laughed.

“I am glad that you missed them.” I said looking at him.

“So he is your Uncle?” he asked me after some time.

“Yes! And I am not their servant.” I replied.

“Ok. I shouldn’t have said that.” He said and I just nodded.

“Now can I know your name?” he asked me.

“Suhani!” I said.

“Nice name but ‘Knife’ suits you more.” He said and looked at me like he just won something above me.

“Yes totally! Like ‘Eww..’ Suit you more than your name.” I said completely in serious tone.

He looked at me again with amusement in his eyes and just shook his head.

“So you are a medical student?” he asked pointing at the white coat in my hand.

“Yeah! And you are a CEO.” I said as a matter of fact.

When we reached near my house, he asked “So are you free tomorrow?”

“I am actually.” I replied.

“Will you go on a date with me?” he asked.

“No! I am sorry but I can’t. I don’t know you properly right so.” I replied looking away.

“But you trusted me to drop you at home.” He said.

“Because my Uncle knows you. And I have already even messaged your car number to my friend before getting inside.” I said.

“Ok. Your wish.” He said unlocking the door.

I got outside and stood there for two minutes to actually get an impression that I walked to home in this rain.

“What are you doing?” he asked me shocked.

“If I say that you dropped me, then there will be few more questions thrown at me. So I am just trying to prove them that I walked to home.” I replied.

He nodded and said “Ok. I will see you later.”

“Wait! You said you want to meet my Uncle right?” I asked him confused.

“I just lied so that you will accept my help.” He replied.

“You are very good at lying.” I said smiling.

He shrugged and then I said “About the date you were asking. If we meet again, then I will come.”

“Then I will make sure that we meet again.” He said and left after saying ‘Good bye’.

I still stood there for two more minutes and went inside shaking my head.

That evening his expressions just blocked my mind while preparing dinner or while eating my food.

When I closed my eyes to sleep there was a smile on my face.
