Alex's POV"What... What did you say?" I repeated, unsure of what I heard the first time. My mom nodded apologetically. "I just heard the news." She replied, her voice shaking." I'm sorry. " I let go of Hazel, bowling my hands to fists, fighting the overwhelming urge to hit something. No, this can't be true. It can't happen now. Why now! Tears brimmed in her eyes and eventually spilled out, with me breaking down in sobs. I didn't think I'd feel this much pain, but right I know I felt like my heart has been ripped in half. It was too excruciating. My mom wrapped her hands around me, hugging me tightly while I sobbed on her shoulders. "I'm sorry..." she kept saying, patting the back of my head.I closed my eyes tightly, shaking like a little kid as I sobbed out.***Patrick's POVStaring at Sylvia's unconscious face, I kept holding her hands, letting mine wander around her face in a soft gentle caress. She was yet to wake up, although the doctor said that might happen soon. After a w
Sylvia's POV (few weeks later)Sylvia! Come on downstairs, Patrick's waiting for you! " My mum called out from the kitchen. "Coming, mom! " I replied, and I quickly brushed out my hair. Patrick is such a jerk! Why didn't he tell me he would be taking me out today? It would have been done much faster.Picking up a sweater in case the weather got cold like it's been doing lately, I dashed down the stairs, giving my mum a quick kiss."Bye, mom. I'll see you later." I chirped out before flying out the door. Outside, I met a smirking Patrick who seemed to be enjoying the stunt he pulled. I hurried towards him and slugged him on the arm."Ow... That hurts." He groaned out before grinning. " Good morning Miss. " He greeted."Good morning to you, too." I replied, half frowning."Are you ready?" He asked. I threw a glance at him."Seriously!?" "Sorry... Come on let's go!" Opening the door for me to enter, he went around the car and walked in himself. I waited for him to enter, then smiled u

Sylvia's P. O. V The alarm had gone off moments ago, but I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Then, remembering what today meant to me, I smiled and jumped out of the bed, doing a happy dance. Today is the first day of my final year in high school!! For someone who has never been excited about school before, this sure is a first. I skipped into the bathroom, beginning my morning rituals. " Good morning Mom." I greeted her a while later, kissing her on the cheeks. " Good morning, dear. How was your night?" " Great. Excited about today. " I replied, serving myself some pancakes and maple syrup she already made. " Who wouldn't be? It's your final year in high school. Oh, my... When did you grow up so quickly? I can't believe you'll be going to college soon," My mom said, joining me at the dining table. " Come on, mom, don't make me cry on my first day. " I replied, and we chuckled. My mom reached out and, holding my hands, squeezed them affectionately. " I'm proud of
Alex. I was in front of my mirror, dressing up for school when I heard a knock on the door. " Come in," I called out, putting on my watch. My mum walked in and came to me, staring at my reflection in the mirror. " I see you're all dressed up. My, you look dashing today. I can't believe you've grown up so well," She said. " Come on, stop with the flatter," I said, and we chuckled. " Head downstairs for breakfast, okay? " She said, and I nodded, walking out of the room. I picked up my bag and strolled downstairs, where I met the rest of them sitting, eating their breakfast. " Good morning." I greeted aloud before settling down for some toast and bacon. " Good morning, son. How was your night?" Edward asked. " Fine. " I mumbled, mouth full. We continued eating in silence till he spoke again. " Alex, Hazel? We have an announcement to make. " Edward began. " What is it? " Hazel asked, not looking up from her food. " Your mom and I will be going on a business trip ear
Sylvia. It was lunchtime, and I was with Patrick, who kept discussing while I listened attentively. It was a few days later and everyone was getting excited about it. " They said there'll be other schools attendance. How cool is that?" " Pretty cool..." I replied, sipping down my water. Patrick glanced at me as he ate. " Aren't you excited about the camp?" He asked. " Well, I am. But... I just don't know. It means there'll be a lot of people there. More people are not ready to meet." I replied, whispering the last bit. " Come on. I'm sure it won't be all that hard. Besides, I'll be there the entire time so you don't have to worry about a thing, okay?" " Okay. If you say so," I said, chuckling. Just then, Alex walked past our table with a group of people, mostly girls, around. They seemed to be discussing something funny as they kept laughing out loud. My gaze followed them till they were out of sight before I finally came back to the room. " Penny for your thoug
Patrick. " Patrick?? Is that you!?" a voice called out, forcing me to pull apart. I turned to see who it was and was surprised when I found out it was... " Skyler?" I called out as well. " Patrick! Oh my God!... No way! " She said as she rushed to hug me. Pulling away, she stared at me, her eyes widening. " What happened to you? I thought you were dead!" " Dead? Seriously!? " I repeated, chuckling. " Wait here... I'll be back. " She said as she made to leave, yelling " Guys, look who I found!" On her way out. Wait a sec, are the rest of them around? I turned to Sylvia, and she had this stunned, confused look on her face. "Who is that?" She finally voiced out. " Oh... That's Skyler James. My best friend." I replied. " Best friend?" She squeaked, and I was about to reply when I got interrupted again. " No way! Patrick, is this you?" An all too familiar voice called out, causing a grin to break out on my face. " Martin! What are you doing here?" I asked
Sylvia's P. O. V We all went ahead to register and, just like Patrick had said, we were divided into sections since they were a lot of schools there. Rocksville high, Crenshaw highschool and Patrick's former school with one other school whose name I didn't get were in the section which meant I'll be seeing more of Olivia and Tyler. I was especially glad about that. Then came the sharing of cabins. With the boys and girls already separated, it was time to assign to the cabins we'll be spending the night in. It was four girls per cabin. I crossed my fingers, hoping and praying that Olivia and I would get to share the same cabin, but it was not to be. " Aww... Too bad. I wanted us to share the same cabin." Olivia had said after her name had been announced and the number for the cabin completed. " It's okay. We'll still see each other." I said, and we chuckled. " I have to go now. I need to get settled and meet the people who I'll be staying with for the next two weeks. They
