(After exams) Sylvia's P. O. V. Walking with my mom in the boutique while we picked out the dress I would wear to prom while engaging in light conversations. The exams have come and gone, everyone is now focused on the prom night that's this Saturday. We stopped at a cloth rack and my mom pulled out a few dresses. " So... Who's your prom date?" She asked as she handed one to me, making our way back to the dressing room. " No one. " I replied. " No one?" She repeated. I nodded. " Yes." " Why? " " Well... Because I have no friends and the two guys who would have asked me out are hesitating. One, because he's broken up with me and the other, because he doesn't want to force me into making a decision I wouldn't like. " " Oh... " My mom trailed off as she helped me with my zip. " But seriously, who would you choose?" " I don't know mom... Right now, I'm sitting on the fence. " I answered, adjusting the dress. Once I was throu
Sylvia's P. O. V. "Hey guys...." I muttered, my voice coming out quieter than I intended. They both glanced at me and I could feel my cheeks turning red. Their eyes widened and they were soon gawping. I chuckled nervously. "Oh damn...." Alex muttered and my insides turned jelly. Oh girl... I thought inwardly, rubbing my palms together. Patrick made to speak but stopped himself. " H-hi." He finally forced out, still staring at me. " You look... Amazing." "Thanks." I mumbled, watching Alex from the corner of my eyes. " Really amazing." He added, his voice low and slightly husky, causing shivers to run down my spine. I nodded and stared down, not wanting to meet thier gazes. One of them cleared their throat and began speaking. " Uhmm... Would you like to dance? " Patrick asked, stretching his hands out. I stared at it for it a while, hesistating. " It'll be our last dance. " He added. " O-okay...." I muttered and took it. He led me to
(Graduation day) Sylvia's P. O. V Throwing our hats up in the air, me and the rest of the students cheered. We're finally graduating today and nothing would have compared to this moment. Most of our parents were present, clapping and cheering for us while we collected our certificates. Once we were through, we headed out the school hall to take some pictures. Hurrying to meet my mom, I engulfed her into a hug, laughing out tears. " I'm so proud of you." She whispered to my ears, patting my back. I disengaged from the hug, giggling. I was the one with the highest grades in the entire class, giving me the position of the valedictorian. I had even won a one year scholarship to my state school and that removed the strain of tuition fees. So yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself. "Thanks Mom." I said, cleaning of my tears. We took a few pictures before I finally excused myself to see the rest of the graduating students. On my way I met with Alex parents and celebrated
(A week later) Sylvia's P. O. V Putting all of the homemade parcels in my bicycle's basket, I was getting ready to deliver them when a car pulled up at the entrance of our house. Looking up, my lips twitched unconsciously as I saw who it was. Dressed in simple clothing and his hair all over his face, he looked devastatingly handsome. It's like he just keeps getting more handsome as the days rolled by. " Hey..." He called out when he got to me. " Good morning." He greeted. " Good morning to you too." I replied, standing so I could look up at him. He was smiling. " Going out?" He asked, glancing at my bicycle. " Yeah... Want to deliver all of this parcels." I replied, pointing at the ones I had put in the basket. " Wow... You need help?" " No thanks... I can manage. " I muttered and he chuckled. " Seriously? " " Okay fine... But you dare rub it on me." I warned and he raised his hands up in surrender. " Wasn't planning to. " He muttered. " Is your mom in?" " Yeah." " Cool,

Sylvia's P. O. V Staring out the window with a glass of wine in my hands, I couldn't help but sigh. Taking a sip from it, I picked up the letter that lay beside the table, flipping it open and reading it. It was from Alex and that was three months ago. I haven't gotten anyone from him since then. Moving closer to the window, I continued staring out. It's been six years, six long years since I last saw Alex and honestly I don't know if I can wait any longer. My feelings for him had intensified to a terrifying degree this past years and I wondered if he felt the same way or had forgotten about me. In hopes for distracting myself, I brought out my phone and began scrolling down my social media feed. A particular new caught my attention and I clicked on it. It was about Patrick. He was leaving New York to New Orleans in hopes of expanding his company. A smile worked it's way through my face. I was happy for him. He had grown in leaps and bounds since the last time I sa
Alex's P. O. V "A-alex!?" She stuttered, her eyes widening. I couldn't help but break into a grin. " Hello Sylvia." I replied, my voice deceptively calm. She fumbled for words, her eyes not leaving mine. I didn't want it to. For six years I had imagined how she would look like when I finally saw her again and what's in front of me, beats every of my imagination. She's amazing. Forcing myself to remember why I was here in the first place, I continued. " I take it you're the owner of this place?" I asked and that seemed to snap her out of her trance. She ran a hand through her hair, a blush staining her cheeks. " Uhm.. Yes. I-i am the owner of this place." She rambled, turning her gaze on me. " Actually I just arrived and on my way to meet my family. I promised my sister I'd get her something and this looks like the perfect gift. Could you maybe, show me some collections and help me out with the perfect sweaters for a teenage girl? " " O-of course... Exc
Sylvia's P. O. V " How do I look?" I asked, twirling around so she could get a full view of me. "Amazing..." She muttered, chuckling. I smiled, picking up my bag and phone. " Well then, I have to go now. Take care of yourself." I said, heading towards the door. " Will do. Have fun." My mom said as I closed the door behind me. I got into the car and starting it up, began driving to the Jones house. It didn't take long before I arrived. I drove in, pulling my car into a stop beside the car I had seen Alex drive to my store. I stepped out and reveled at the difference. While his looked super expensive and so like him, mine was, small... Like me. I laughed at my silliness in comparing the car and proceeded to enter the house. Feeling nervous, I clicked on the door bell and waited for some time. The door opened and Hazel peeked her head out, a smile on her face. " Hazel!... Good evening." I greeted, grinning. She opened the door wider. "Sylvia! Come on in. How are you?" She called o
