Chapter 22

"Don't you have an office or something?" I put down the cake and coffee with milk she ordered. She looked up at me, she's in front of her laptop. Her red ruby eyes instantly made me nervous. She's also in a bun and on simple clothes.

"Because you're my motivation, babe. That's why I'm working here because you're here and I'm having motivation to work," she said and smiled at me. I rolled my eyes instantly and left her to her work.

Devyn came back to my mind when I entered the kitchen to take other orders. Dionne is here, I can tell her everything but I get nervous when I try to speak. I wish I could do something and be brave for Devyn but right now, I don't know how to say everything.

Even though I know what to do, I can't find myself saying it. I tried many times this morning but I always stuttered or forgot my own script.
