Chapter 88

When Joyce didn’t get any response from Betty, she hugged her from behind and said, “Grandma, look here, I brought some food for you. Didn't you say you were hungry earlier?"

Betty did not respond to her and continued to stare outside the window. As Joyce still didn't get any reply from her, she turned Betty around but only to be met with her tearful sad eyes.

"Grandma, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Joyce was shocked to see her in tears.

"Joyce…" Betty cried out aloud and hugged Joyce.

Joyce rubbed her back to comfort her and waited patiently until she stopped crying. Betty had been heartbroken from the time she spoke to Marlon. 

Betty now understood why her daughter, Adele tried to stay far away from her. She did really push Adele to one corner and put a lot of pressure on her; Only to be with someone who doesn’t even love her for whoever she was.
