Chapter 10 - The Conditions

EMMILE’S POV

I’m still staying in the cell waiting for my brother like the guard said. I didn’t see him for a long time and it’s already getting late I guess. They didn’t even check on me, does this mean that I’ll pay for what I didn’t do? Just when I thought that my brother would not be coming anymore, I saw the door open and he came in with a sly smile on his face. If he's smiling now, then it means that my father is alright.

"If you're here now, does this mean father is okay now? How is he? Can he talk now?" I asked him.

He scoffed and walked around the cell with his hands behind his back, then he stopped to face me.

"Even if he is okay, he is still unconscious and unable to speak. We have done much investigation and someone has to pay for this." He replied showing his anger.

"And that person has to be me? Even though you know I didn't do it, you still want to blame me your only sister for this?" I questioned unable to believe what he's saying.
