CHAPTER 15: THE EX

"Didn't I tell you that no one will believe you?"

Serena threw me her "I told you so" look as she placed the potted golden plant on the coffee table.

"Well, I thought he was going to believe me," I defended, eyes wide.

Shifting my eyes on the plant, I noticed how it varies its glow. Some of the leaves are glowing in yellow, while some seem to fade.

"And how did he react?" With her judging tone, Serena's arms akimbo.

"He laughed at my face and complimented my humor," I answered while wearing a tight smile. "Why are you standing like that?"

I sat by the couch, leaning forward while she was standing in front of me like a boss scolding her employee.

"Should you keep it in your head that your main crisis focuses on healing him, not making him believe that you're prone to fantasy," she chided like a mother.

"Alright, I apologize, good witch." Placing my hand on my chest, I bowed to her while making a face.

"Apology accepted."
