“You want to decide his punishment?” A faint spark of amusement shone in Cahir’s eyes. “Alright, let’s hear it.”

“Since – Since he is my guard,” I stuttered, feeling hot all of a sudden. “He is my guard so I’m responsible for him.”

“Don’t you think it’s the reverse, Sihana? As your guard, he is responsible for your safety.”

“Yeah, but you gave him to me already. I’ll decide his punishment.” I stared Cahir head on and then he sighed.

“Very well.” Even the walls in the room were surprised at how easily he agreed. This same man had been raging to – have Sebastian’s fingers chopped off one at a time, or whatever evil he had planned and now, he was letting him go. “What punishment will he be getting?”

“Let him go. His punishment will be settled between us.” Cahir looked at me, and I forced myself to look back at me. His eyes seemed to remind me that he had more of a say on what happened to Sebastian than I did but after a minute of staring each
