KIDNAPPED

Edna moaned in pain once again as her already bruised raw wrist came in contact with the rope that was tying her to the wooden chair. She slowly peeled her eyes open wincing slightly as her head throbbed in pain. Did she pass out again? She thought she licked her dry lips and soon a metallic taste entered her mouth. Her lips were bleeding as she sighed in frustration.

Everything hurt so much. What had she done to deserve this? How long will this torture day last. It’s been only a day and she was losing her mind already. She was never this pathetic, helpless girl but tied up to a chair, bloody and bruised. Her body felt numb with the pain. She tried hard but she couldn’t be that strong at least not physically. Licking her dry lips, she coughed, her throat dry as desert. She couldn’t even remember when her lips touched the drop of water last time.

A shaky breath escaped past her lips when she heard the creaking of the metallic door followed by a bright light causing her to flinch and shut her eyes momentarily. She could feel someone’s nasty breath on her face causing her to throw up mentally.

“Won’t you look at me?” it wasn’t a request but rather a mocking question knowing that she had no choice to do as she was told. A harsh tug which send a burning pain to her scalp made her open her brown orbs and the person in front of smile wickedly showing his crocked teeth.

Four Hours Ago

Edna rolled over, shivering because of the cold surface, her hand felt the cemented floor beneath her finger. Clutching her head, she sits up groaning. A terrifying gasp left her mouth when she recalled the last memories of her. Panic started to settle deep in her chest, blinking her eyes she tried to even her breath only to find herself in a big hall with more girls around her age hunched up in corners.

No,No,No

Chanting that mantra in her head she quickly scrambled up on her feet ignoring the dizziness.

“ Where are we? Who – What- Wh-at are they going to do with us?” worry and panic bleed in her voice as she ran a hand through her messy hair however she got no answer in return except some sympathetic looks.

“ Sit down girl and don’t shout. I already have a bad headache.” One the blonde snapped at her making Edna squint her eyes at her calm behavior.

Cutting off the staring with blonde, her eyes searched for the possible exit but found none except a metal door. Not wasting any further time she leaped towards it and tried to open it only to find it locked.

“Open the f*cking door!!” She shouted kicking on the door with her might and another wave of dizziness hit her. Shaking her head, she held on the wall for support blinking the tears away.

“Don’t do that. They will hurt you.” A small voice warned her. Edna slowly tilted her head to the side to see a girl not more than 15 staring right back at her with pale blue orbs which were widened with fear. Her pink lips busted at the corner, some dried blood was there contrastong with her pearly skin

“That will be worth it” Inhaling a sharp breath and clenching her fist she replied back softly to the girl despite her blood boiling in anger.

“The only thing you will get in return will be loads of bruises and maybe some broken bones too.” That blonde again remarked sarcastically. Edna could feel her hands itching to shake some sense in her literally but she channeled her rage on the door banging on it instead.

“What’s with shouting?” A gruff voice growled behind the doors causing Edna to halt her hands in mid-air, shifting her legs slightly away from the door.

Taking in a deep breath, she gulped down the lump in her throat when the door opened and man with average height and brown cropped hair came in view, his black eyes glaring inside.

“ Who.was.banging.on . the. door?” He gritted out as Edna shifted behind the door, some of the girls whimpered when he strolled inside.

“That one.” Blondie pointed towards Edna who was creeping slowly towards the door and Edna felt for the first time in her life to murder someone.

“ You Huh?” man questioned mockingly striding towards her and Edna did her calculation. As soon as he was close enough she kicked him in between the legs causing him roll over in pain   and started running without wasting a single second.

Her legs picked up speed as she heard the door closing behind her. She turned around the different hallways trying her best to get the hell out of there. She run as fast she could as she heard footsteps behind her. Stopping in front of double door, she took in breath trying to calm her heart which was thudding like an angry beast in her chest. Just as she opened the door she bumped into someone. Her legs lost their balance and she fell on the floor not gently.

“ F*ck!” Someone cursed and pursed her lips, looking at the blue haired and black eyed man in front of her who assessed her form with heavy amusement.

Edna quickly backed up on her feet, swinging her fist right on the jaw of the person giving him not time whatsoever. The man face jerked to side as he didn’t see that coming. Edna tried keyword tried to use his distraction to escape but that man was quick to get over the punch and

caught her wrist twisting her hand behind her back, a small shriek left her lips as he jerked her close to his chest. She tried to kick him and failed. The man chest rumbled with laughter at her effort finding it hilarious. In order to seize her struggled he applied more pressure on her hand twisting it at odd angle causing her to whimper in pain.

“ You caught her, Jake?” The man who was chasing her asked out of breath.

“ No shit ! Sherlock. F*ck happened to you, Mason?” Jake chided him, holding a struggling Edna.

“ This.. This B*tch  happened!” Mason answered pointing an accused finger at her, who took a shuddering breath at his angry approaching form.

“ Aren’t you Firefly?” She could feel his hot breath on her neck as he breathed out the question in her ear before abruptly releasing causing her to stumble a little.

“ How lovely, let’s have a some chat.” Mason offered her a smile that screamed danger , shaking her head she tried to run only to be caught by Mason.

“ Leaving so soon darling! Its time for your lesson.” Whispering this he let her go and next thing she felt a ringing in her ear. She felt some one loosen her teeth. She could feel metallic liquid filling her mouth.

“ Tsk, Tsk, I just started.” And with being said he grabbed her hair yanking it and punching her square in the face.

He punched her repeatedly and after what seems like forever he finally let go, she slumped on the floor with throbbing cheek. Her nose was bleeding, blood trickled down her lips. She rolled on the floor coughing out blood. She gritted her teeth trying to lessen the pain and to scream and when she thought the torture was finally over she felt a strong kick on her stomach. In the back of her mind, she could hear someone chuckling at her state. She was sure her stomach was turned blue with force he was kicking her. She bit her lips trying hard to not scream but when he landed another kick, a scream involuntary escaped her mouth. She did not know how many times he kicked her she lost count. The last thing she remembered was someone stopping him before darkness consumed her.

Flashback Over

“ Have you learned your lesson, darling?” He asked wickedly to her leaning into her face.

Instead of answering, she simply turned her face to the other side. She neither had the energy nor did she want to have any kind of conversation with these disgusting people.

“ Answer me b*tch!!” he yelled at her yanking her by her hair. Edna groaned internally.

He had some grudge against my hair!!

“Y-es.” She stuttered in pain, as he tightened his grip. With a satisfying smirk on his face, he finally removed his hand from her hair.

Edna wanted nothing more than to remove that smirk on Mason’s face by smashing a chair on his face but settled on murdering him ten times in her brain. Edna knew perfectly that there is thin line between being brave and foolish. This was not the time to run her sarcastic mouth here which will only reward her with more punches. Her face was still throbbing and little swollen from earlier.

“ Mason! Cut some slack on the poor girl.” A voice tutted disappointed. Edna looked up with hooded eyes to find Jake leaning on the doorframe.

“ If it wasn’t for the money. I would have killed her in the most painful way possible.” Mason spat out hateful and Jake chuckled at him. Edna wondered what they were saying? Are they going to ask for ransom?

“ So, when we are going to ship her?” Mason queried, rubbing his palms, looking at her menacingly.

Edna’s heart dropped listening this. She could feel her breath getting clogged up in her chest making it hard for her exhale. She needed to get out of here at any cost. Her face loose it’s colour and become more pale if possible, when they both looked at her. Jake pushed his body off the door and stalked towards her, searching his face with his black eyes like his soul.

“ Ah! I’m gonna keep this one.” Jake muttered after agonizing silence. Edna didn’t knew what emotion she was feeling more strongly hate, fear, anger, helplessness. She had no idea how she was going to escape from here.

“ She is nuisance, a trouble. Are you sure?” Mason grumbled out not really liking the idea.

“ Mason! I love challenges.” He whispered out proudly letting is index finger collecting the drop of tear that roll down on her cheek and she instantly like an auto-pilot mode reeled back from his touched causing his lips to tilt upward ever so slightly.

Suddenly a gunshot resonant in the thick silence. Jake and furrowed his brow in confusion quickly straightening up is form and pulling out the gun from his waist band. They both nodded at each other and locked the door behind her leaving her once again in a dimly lit room.

Edna’s heart palpated in her chest as she tugged at her bonds, trying to fear herself. She heard muffled screams and shouting from outside. She tried to bend her face to reach to the ropes to untie herself from the forsaken rope but failed. To make her situation worse the small bulb at the corner flickered twice before the room was soaked in complete darkness.  All the noises from outside stop and the only sound that was heard was her own thumbing of heart in her ears. The door creaked open and she held her breath, licking her dry lips she tried to figure out who entered but failed because of the darkness.

Her heart beat rhymed  with the fall of footsteps approaching her and her condition was like that of a blind kitten which can sense everything but couldn’t see it.

She breathed quietly hoping whoever had come will leave her alone but all wishes doesn’t come true. She felt something soft and warm touching her legs, a fearful shriek escaped her lips.

“ Calm down, I am Untying you.” A soft yet commanding voice ordered her. She stopped sitting stiff like a board in her position.

True to his words he slowly untied her legs then her hands and Edna wasted no time to get up but felt her world swirling around. She tried to walk on her wobbly feet but didn’t make more than two steps when her body give up and felt it swaying in the air as she was about to fall on the hard ground two arms secured her.

“ Whoa! You are fading fast.”  Smooth silk like voice whispered with a hint of anger bleeding in it. Edna inhaled sharply, the strong smell of cologne enveloping her senses like a warm blanket.

She tried to free herself from his vice like grip but found herself more pressed into his rock like chest. He inhaled quietly near her hair, running a hand soothing down her hair and muttered the next words which made her frozen in her spot.

“ Shh!!! You are safe my doll .
