Just as Ms. Miller started, Quentin’s voice interrupted her.

Helplessness flashed across Ms. Miller’s eyes. Tamara took notice of this and wanted to ask about it. But Quentin had stepped forward. “Welcome home, Tammy. Hurry up and prepare some drink for her, Ms. Miller.”

Ms. Miller could only nod in submission. “Right away, Mr. Simmons.”

Tamara frowned at Quentin and signed, “Why didn’t you let Ms. Miller finish?”

Quentin had purposely interrupted Ms. Miller.

Quentin merely chuckled. “What do you mean? She is just a housekeeper. She has no right to discuss our family issues.”

Tamara’s face fell.

Ms. Miller had brought them up. How dare Quentin speak so lowly of her?

Quentin waved her away. “Let’s change the topic. Does Young Mr. Lynch knows you’re here?”

Tamara stared coldly at him. “What does he have to do with me coming home?”

“Of course he has to know!” Quentin was annoyed. “You are married to Sebastian. That means that the Lynch family and the Simmons family are in-laws.
