A groan left her mouth as she turned to her right. A striking ray of the sun blocked her view as an immense wave of pain managed to break through her head. The hangover felt like a balloon under her cranium, slowly being inflated, pressure mounting. She wrapped himself in the duvet, waves of nausea adding to her misery. After struggling for a few minutes, she pushed herself into a sitting position and her eyes diverted to her right side. The sheets on that side looked unmade and the pillow had creases. She tensed. Did they share the bed last night? What happened? Why was she feeling nauseatingly sick like she was drunk or something?

Shaking her head she stood up, the world around her twirling like a ballerina and she supported herself. Grace was more aware of her cracking headache than the layer of dehydrated saliva that coated her cracked lips.
