Previously.I sat back inside enjoying our victory when."JAY! LOOKOUT!"_ _ _
Previously"Oh, that we won the race and it was awesome," I said as I watched her lit up causing me to giggle, "Really, what happened after?" She asked as I smiled before continuing, "Well-"What were you doing with him?"_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _(Ashely POV)I spinned around to face a furious Jake, who stood there with his hands tucked in his pockets, and no too far behind was Tatiana, who gave me a bitchy look, "What's it to you?" I asked crossing my arms across my chest as Jake clenched his jaw, annoyed with my attitude, "Look, I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, what the hell were you doing with him?" He asked gritting through his teeth as I shrugged, "He was being a gentleman and took me out," I said as he scoffed, "Took you out, are you stupid Ashely, you don't even know him," he gritted through his teeth as his fists clenched at his sides."Why do you care, Jake, weren't we the same indi
Ashely's POV I woke up this morning still very exhausted. A couple of minutes had passed and I'm still laying in bed staring blankly at the ceiling. "ASHELY! COME DOWN FOR BREAKFAST," my mom yelled from downstairs as I sighed in annoyance, "Great! Now I gotta see the two people I hate most in this world," I mumbled while frustratedly tossing the covers off me. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I walked into the kitchen to see the devil and his son eating their breakfast in silence not acknowledging each other's presence. "Goodmorning, honey," my mom greeted catching the attention of both men in the room, "Goodmorning, mom," I greeted back as I walked past the table completely ignoring their existences before pecking my mom's cheek before grabbing my plate that was filled with pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup before making my way out the kitchen. "Ashely, don't be rude, aren't you forgetting something?" She asked
(Ashely's POV) After Jay and I embraced each other, we both entered his car, "Where to?" I asked with a grin on my face as I fasten my seatbelt, "Don't worry, I got the perfect place," He said before driving off, "But first, we gotta get something to eat," he said as I made myself comfortable. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Jay's POV) Soon, we pulled up at Aunty Jackie's fast food restaurant, but since we were just picking some food, I've just decided to use the drive-through. My car came to a stop as we waited in line. Ashely was occupied with whatever that was outside the window, while I just sat there, drowning in my own thoughts. Why was he at her house? What happened to her at home, why didn't she want to stay at home? HONK!!! I flinched out of my thoughts as the sudden sound of a horn ringed through my ea
(Jake's POV)After Ashely left with that son of a b- I couldn't stand staying at this house with those two, so I went to my car immediately remembering that I had left my keys inside."F**k!" I mumbled, running my hands through my hair, "There's no way, I'm going in there, f**k that, I need some air," I said before walking wherever my feet took me._ _ _ _ _ _ _I walked the streets with my head low and my hands shoved down in my pockets just minding my own business until."Hey, Jake," A voice beside me called out catching my attention as I looked at the person, "Hey, Tatiana, right?" I asked as she smiled, "Look, I and the girls are going down to Aunty Jackie's place, you wanna come with us?" She asked as I thought for a second before shrugging, "Yeah, sure," I said before getting in the backseat with Tatiana._ _ __ _ _ _(Tatiana POV)Ever since I first laid eyes on Jake at
(Ashley’s POV) "What are you talking about?" I asked, approaching him with a furrow as he did the most thing I hate about him.
(Ashely's POV)My mom closed the door behind her as she walked further into the room. I sat on the edge of my bed waiting for her to get on with it but she just stood there awkwardly looking around."Look, mom, I'm really tired," I said as she sighed, "I know, but I want to make things right between us," she said before taking a seat beside me, "This morning, I was wrong for hitting you and I regret it so much, but I wish you'd be nicer to Roger as it will make me happy," she said as I stared back at her in disbelief before shifting away from her and before I could speak, she continued."And I know, I was being selfish, I am being selfish and I know I should've come and discussed this with you and hear your concerns and opinion before I made this big decision, but I didn't and I regret it so much because you're suffering and I promised your father that I would take care of you in the best way I could," She said as we both began to tear up.
That night, Ashely sat in her room debating whether or not she should go check on Jake. It wasn't that she petty him and she surely didn't want to make a fool of herself, but she knew how he felt. The longing for that fatherly love and care, Ashely knew exactly how Jake felt. "Come on, Ash, you can do it," she said trying to boost her confidence before heading over to Jake's room that was right opposite hers. Ashely stood in front of Jake's bedroom door before taking a deep breath, but as she did so, she smelt smoke and to be precise, cigarette smoke. She furrowed before sniffing the air to confirm that the scent was right before knocking on the door, "Jake, are you in there?" she called out but there was no reply, "well, here goes nothing," she mumbled before opening the door, which was surprisingly open. As she entered, Ashely quickly fanned away the smoke that filled the room, "Jake, open a goddamn window for Christ's sake," she said walking over to
