Juliette entered Daniel's house after successfully inputting the passcode. As she stepped inside, the emptiness of the place confirmed her suspicion that he wasn't home. She recalled hearing his phone ring at Adrienne's house, which only fueled her frustration.

Disdainfully, Juliette settled herself on the couch.
