Cirdan has been sulking since I told him that I could not be his date to the ballroom party. I had agreed to be Vine and Vane’s date when I sat close to them at the bonfire and I couldn’t very well go with Cirdan, that would be enough to put us under the spotlight and it would not be very long with people poking around before they discover that he is my mate. He knows this but it still doesn’t prevent him from sulking.

I was already going insane, it took me thirty minutes afterwards to get something out of the panel. CirdanWhen Finn rushed into school to say Iris was missing, I was already feeling something was off with the bond, the principal calmed him down and contacted her parents who came to school as quickly as they could and then Finn took us and a considerable amount of guards to the last place she was seen.For the next six hours, it was hell as I wondered where my mate was and what dangers has befallen her and I had a right to wonder too. IrisI felt rather than saw Cirdan gearing to counter my words, I could feel his emotions more clearly than before and when I said Finn would teach me, I saw that those words hurt him. That my choice had hurt him but this was not about him right now, this was about me so he needed to back off.“Iris.” Cirdan called.“Really Cirdan, you want to use that tone with me, like you are the one hurt?” I rolled my eyes while saying the words but when Cirdan flinched I felt bad. It was okay seeing my parents feel that way, I wanted to hurt them a little bit because somehow my mind blamed my little expedition and later capture on them, like it would not have happened if they hadn’t tried to keep me in this place as a prisoner with no rights of leaving.But Cirdan did not deserve to be hurt, his only fault is that he made the decision I chose.
