Confused heart

I couldn't believe the audacity of Betty After sharing my excitement about my new life with Elijah, she had the nerve to suggest that I still had feelings for Marcus. I couldn't let her assumptions go unchallenged.

"Betty, that's simply not true," I asserted firmly, trying to maintain my composure.

"I am genuinely happy with Elijah. He fulfills everything I've ever desired in a partner."

But Betty shook her head, undeterred. "I don't mean to offend you, Ma'am Samantha, but it's written all over your face. Whenever we discuss him, your eyes light up. It's evident that you still harbor emotions for Sir Marcus."

Taking a deep breath, I attempted to control my frustration. While I appreciated Betty's concern, she had no right to make assumptions about my feelings. "Betty, I value your care for me, but you don't understand the whole picture. I have completely moved on from Marcus. He is my past, and I am fully committed to Elijah."

She is very immature. I find that she has a bad tremper, throws tantrums like a kid. She gets on her high horses very quickly when people say things she doesn't agree with. She seems to be delusional. She wants to convinced herself that she loves Elijah but she acts very coldly toward him.
