His Care

The girl was a little taken aback and remembered how Ethan had taken care of her yesterday night, making sure she does not fall sick. She felt a little guilty for being rude to him. Maybe he was actually trying to protect her. The girl looked in his eyes for several seconds and Ethan simply could not make out what was going on in her head.

“I am sorry. I think it was a bad idea. I will send the lot back.” Ethan frowned in confusion and shrugged his shoulders. He was about to walk ahead, when the girl pulled his elbow, making him stop.

“You ordered an entire lot for me on the island? How?” She looked straight in his eyes and Ethan was a little intimidated by her piercing gaze.

“Umm.. we can ship orders through flights or even by water. That’s how the island gets its essential requirements, if ever we are out of stock.” He bit his upper lip trying to figure out what was going on in her head.
