"I'm sorry, what?" Ashton asked.

"How did you get the injury on your left eye?" the investigator repeated.

"I do not know what you're talking about. I do not have any injury whatsoever in my eye."

"Then what do you have to say about this?" the investigator asked, then pulled out a mirror from the bag he was carrying and placed it in front of Ashton, so he could see for himself. While this was happening, the rest of the Mills were completely speechless.

Ashton gazed into the mirror, and when he saw an injury just a little above his left eye, he recalled something.

FEW HOURS BEFORE THE QUESTIONING BEGAN.

Ashton was ascending the stairs, when one of the soldiers who was descending the stairs, suddenly tumbled and fell on him.

"I'm so sorry, let me help you up," the soldier said and helped him rise to his feet. Once he got up to his feet, the soldier bowed his head and walked off. Ashton had barely walked off when he felt his left eye sting. He had wanted to go check his eyes in the mir
