Chapter 84

The ray of sunlight some through Amanda'a window. Amanda stretched her lazy set of worn-out bones before opening her eyes.

Yesterday was very exhausting and hectic for her. Her stepmom forced her to do all the house chores at home including the laundry and trimming the garden. She didn't rest until late in the night after she finished cooking dinner.

She stood up from the bed and checked the time, it was already past 6 am. Her heart skipped a beat as she didn't know if her stepmom was already awake. She usually asks her to wake up at 6 am every day to start the day's duties.

She quickly rushed into the bathroom, washed her face, had a quick bath, wore casual clothes, and rushed into the kitchen.

Luckily, no one was up yet, it was the weekend. Her stepmom and stepsister take longer to wake up on weekends.

She quickly prepared breakfast while checking her time, she had somewhere to go. She took college exams unknown to her father and stepmom.
