Chapter Seventy-nine

"Don't worry, it's normal for people who have lost their memories to experience something like that. When there are people, things, or events that can trigger the return of your memory, you can get a headache," the doctor explained about my sudden headache.

"But she didn't react like that when we told her about what happened to her; only now did she react like this," Eugene says, still with a fearful tone in his voice from my earlier disappearance. When I remembered screaming and writhing in agony earlier, I closed my eyes.

Yes, Eugene is right. Why was it that when they told me what I should know when I woke up, I didn't have such a bad headache? When they told me about my sloppy pregnancy, all I felt was pain, but when the children called me Mother earlier, I felt like my head would explode from the pain.

"I can't say for certain why this disease struck your wife, Mr. Ibanez, but I'm certain of one thing... the children had a lot to do with the headache she felt."
